About Us

Songs for Christie’s is a group of volunteers who sing and perform at town centres, clubs and homes for the elderly.  We have had great fun whilst raising over £160,000 for Christie’s and over £10,000 for a variety of other national and local charities.

We have all our own amplification gear, microphones and also have generators to supply power. All the events are held in North West towns and cities ranging from Lancaster in the North to Stretford in the South, Blackpool and Liverpool in the west and the Yorkshire border in the east.

We have raised up to £3,000 in one day. The average amount raised is £1,300. We are sponsored by a publishing company, which pays all our expenses. Therefore everything we raise goes straight to the charity.

We are looking for volunteer singers and collectors to join us on a regular basis or just in the towns close to where they live.

If you want to find out more details about the group, phone events organiser Gregory Paul on 01282 459533, or write to him at Songs for Christie's, 44a St James St, Burnley, Lancs, BB11 1NQ.

People

The team is made up of volunteers.

Many sing, others just collect, but all singers are asked to collect too. Singers perform anything from pop to swing, rock to country. They choose what they want to do. Our youngest member is six and the oldest is 75. So don’t be afraid to give us a call and join in the fun!
